All P1 students are suitable to join if applied before March. Students who join after March must take a Pinyin test to ensure that they can benefit most from this course and foster strong learning interest and establish solid foundation in Chinese.
一年级上学期的学生均可报读，不受学生基础限制。
一年级下学期报读的学生，需通过拼音测试。拼音不过关的学生，建议先参加“拼音100分”的短期培训班，才可进入此黄金阅读班，可以取得更好的效果。
想在一年级上学期打好牢固的华文基础的学生。

CHINESE
黄金阅读拓展班 Golden Reading (Advanced)
Specialize in wider reading ability, Comprehension, Oral Conversation
Curriculum: Comply fully with MOE syllabus and curriculum.
Teacher: Former MOE teacher in Singapore. More than 10 years in the teaching of Chinese Language at MOE schools and 2 years teaching experience in tuition center. Many years of experience in preparing and setting exam papers, marking of PSLE papers and as an examiner at PSLE oral exam.
Class Rate: $38 per class, each class 1.5 hours
Suitable Learning Period: 6months-1 year
Mission: Greatly improve independent reading ability, word recognition ability, cultivate interest in Chinese, as well as Chinese reading comprehension and oral test skills. We are preparing them to enter the higher Chinese class in their school.

拼音，汉字，写字训练占比
一年级上学期材料的50%为拼音，50%为汉字。一年级下学期开始为全汉字材料，试读字辅以拼音。
写字训练为一年级不可缺少，在该课程中占20%的比重。
The proportion of pinyin, Chinese characters and handwriting training
First semester: 50% of the materials are pinyin and 50% are Chinese characters.
Second semester: 100% Chinese characters , supplemented by pinyin.

CHINESE
适合学生Who are suitable to apply：
This class only admits students who are at a developing level in Chinese.
Letting the students with a poor foundation to learn composition, or enrolling them at the same level as better-performing students will only increase frustration. To build self-confidence, they must receive intensive training like Golden Reading (Rapid Improvement Class) for about 6 months first .
学生成绩处于DEVELOPING等级/或学校实际测评成绩低于60分。
此班的适合时长：
大部分学生六个月即可。成绩提高后，无需再参加以急救为目的的提高班。

Specialize in Improving Weak-Foundation Students

Class Rate: $49 per class, each class 2 hours
Suitable Learning Period: 6 months
Mission: The mission of this class is to quickly improve students who are weak in Chinese to an intermediate to excellent level.

Curriculum: This is an intensive phonics training program which focuses on helping students grasp phonics skills in 3 months. The program includes spelling lists, reading and writing activities, games, stories, more than 600 reverse listening cards (which provides a test of a student's ability to read and decode at incremental levels) to make sure the whole learning journey is full of fun and efficiency.
